Supporting Female Talent in Engineering: The “Ingenio al Femminile” Award 2025. A concrete commitment to a more inclusive and innovative engineering culture
On November 12, we had the pleasure and honor of attending the award ceremony of the fifth edition of the “Ingenio al Femminile” Prize, held at the prestigious headquarters of the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome.
This initiative, promoted by the National Council of Engineers with the support of Cesop HR Consulting Company, aims to reward the best engineering theses by young women graduates, promoting female talent in technical and scientific fields and contributing to closing the gender gap in STEM disciplines.
This year as well, Solesi S.p.A. joined as an Ambassador company, standing alongside other major industrial players in promoting a culture of inclusion, merit, and innovation.
The theme of the 2025 edition – “Artificial Intelligence for the New Challenges of 2050” – emphasized the urgency of ethical and responsible planning in the context of global technological transformation.
It is a theme we deeply relate to, as we believe artificial intelligence can be a valuable ally—when guided by strong competencies, human values, and a shared vision for the future.
As our CEO, Paolo Augliera, highlighted:
“Celebrating talented young graduates not only honors their commitment and success, but also gives them the opportunity to thrive in an increasingly inclusive and fair working environment. This is a principle that Solesi S.p.A. has always supported.”
We are convinced that women are a structural element of our success, and it is no coincidence that over 35% of Solesi’s coordination and management roles are currently held by women, with a growing presence also in operational HSE-Q roles on construction sites.
The 2025 edition saw participation from candidates representing 31 universities across Italy, presenting theses of exceptional scientific value in the fields of biomedical, computer, industrial, and civil-environmental engineering. The event reaffirmed the growing interest in professional paths where female expertise can truly make a difference.
Being an Ambassador of this initiative means building a bridge between present and future, between academia and industry, between equal opportunity and tangible value.
We do so with pride, with a sense of responsibility, and with the awareness that a company truly grows when everyone has the tools to contribute.
